Here are the Scholarship Terms and Conditions
1. What this Scholarship covers. The Light of the Flame Scholarship is to help cover the expense of dues only, for one GVSU school year (8 months). This does not include other line items such as rent, T-shirts, formal, fines, etc. The winner cannot use this money for any purpose other than dues, and the treasurer will need to hold money for the remaining months in the semester so that to cover a years worth.
2. Increase in dues. Should there be in increase in amount paid for dues, this scholarship will not cover that increase. However, the Xi Psi Treasurer or President shall contact Samantha Hardenburgh and see if there could be some coverage with the new rates for the winner.
3. Decrease in Dues. Should there ever be a decrease in dues, the remainder of the award money would then help to pay the dues of the Sister who ranked next of all the applicants who were not awarded a scholarship. Should this occur, the Xi Psi Treasurer or President shall contact Samantha Hardenburgh to be made aware of whom other recipient will be.
4. Termination. Should a winner ever terminate for any reason, the award money would then help to pay the dues of the Sister who ranked next of all the applicants who were not awarded a scholarship. Should this occur, the Xi Psi Treasurer or President shall contact Samantha Hardenburgh to be made aware of whom the next recipient will be.
5. Expulsion. Should a winner ever be expelled from the chapter, the award money would then help to pay the dues of the Sister who ranked next of all the applicants who were not awarded a scholarship. Should this occur, the Xi Psi Treasurer or President shall contact Samantha Hardenburgh to be made aware of whom the next recipient will be.
6. Temporary Alumnae Status. Should a winner ever be granted temporary alumnae status, the award money would then pay the winner’s $14 per month cost, and the remainder would go to the Sister who ranked next highest of all the applicants who were not awarded a scholarship. Should this occur, the Xi Psi Treasurer or President shall contact Samantha Hardenburgh to be made aware of who the other recipient will be.
7. Money Award. The check for this award will be written and mailed directly to the Delta Zeta House, in care of the Treasurer within the first two weeks of August in order to be in the Xi Psi bank account for the fall semester.
